successful events. The course also looks at the operational planning and
marketing planning as well as managing, implementing and evaluating the event.
Students will also propose and organize an event independently

DTE20093 - PROTOCOL AND ETIQUETTE
PROTOCOL AND ETIQUETTE explains the importance of protocol and etiquette
in events. Students learn the protocol requirements in various events such as
seating arrangement, honorifics, speech writing and royal language (Bahasa Istana). This course also
provides information to the students of the do’s and don’ts of attending
events.

SYNOPSIS:
MUSLIM FRIENDLY HOSPITALITY PRACTICE course emphasize on specific
services and product which must be taken into consideration and provided by tourism
and hospitality businesses. This course covers the application of Muslim friendly
hospitality services in various service sectors of tourism and hospitality businesses
such as accommodation, foodservice, travel services, recreation, transportation,
entertainment and public places. This course will also study, analyse and identify
creative solution on issues and/or challenges, related to the implementation of Muslim
friendly hospitality services

BEST
PRACTICES FOR HALAL FOOD PRODUCTION brings students to experience the best halal
approach in managing foodservice operations guided by various requirements from
several agencies in Malaysia especially the Department of Islamic Development
Malaysia (JAKIM) without neglecting the Islamic Shariah law implementation. The
topic will cover the fundamentals of halal food, important areas for halal
compliance, legitimate ingredients, halal slaughtering practice, requirement
standards to apply and challenges encountered by halal food producers. Students will also be equipped with hands-on
skills through creating awareness programmes, practising sertu and organising
event consist of slaughtering, processing, cooking and serving halal food. The field trip will also enhance student knowledge of the course.

DTC10093 - THEORY OF FOOD
THEORY
OF FOOD focuses on the understanding of cooking theory and the application of
skills to a wide range of cooking styles and products. Students will be
introduced to the foodservice establishment and organization. Every aspect in
cooking is explained starting from the basic equipment and utensils to cooking
techniques, role of the ingredients used, garnishing and food presentation,
food commodities, salad and salad dressing, stock, sauces, and soup.

DET10013 ELECTRICAL TECHNOLOGY
ELECTRICAL TECHNOLOGY course will introduce students to the principles
related to DC electrical circuits. It covers the fundamental laws, theorems and
circuit techniques of the electrical technology basic fundamental. This course
also covers inductor, capacitor, magnetic and electromagnetic circuits.

DEC20012 PROGRAMMING FUNDAMENTALS
PROGRAMMING FUNDAMENTALS course provides the skills necessary for the effective of application of computation and computer programming in engineering applications. Students will develop their programming skills through a variety of assignments and labs and by reviewing case studies and example programs. The learning outcome is proficiency in writing small to medium programs in a procedural programming language.

DEC30032 COMPUTER ARCHITECTURE AND ORGANIZATION
Computer Architecture and Organization is the study of internal working, structuring and implementation of a computer system. Architecture in computer system, same as anywhere else, refers to the externally visual attributes of the system. Externally visual attributes, here in computer science, mean the way a system is visible to the logic of programs (not the human eyes!). Organization of computer system is the way of practical implementation which results in realization of architectural specifications of a computer system. In more general language, Architecture of computer system can be considered as a catalog of tools available for any operator using the system, while Organization will be the way the system is structured so that all those cataloged tools can be used, and that in an efficient fashion.

ENGINEERING SURVEY 2 covers the knowledge and understanding about control survey, detail survey, data collection or acquisition, calculation and plotting of survey works. The course emphasis on the method used to carry out surveying works especially data collection or acquisition to produce plan based on the scope of work. It also gives exposure to the need for accurate data to be used for other surveying work.
